Since the electrification of the Volvo XC40 2023, the Swedish brand has been constantly updating its compact SUV to meet the new demands of its drivers.
For 2024, the Volvo XC40 Recharge features the same design and safety technologies, but with the addition of a longer-range battery and a new transmission.
We explain it all in this article!
Electric powertrains available on the 2024 Volvo XC40
Driving an electric vehicle is something more and more Quebec drivers want to do, but with distances exceeding hundreds of kilometers between cities, this choice can hold back some families who regularly go on vacation - especially if they don't have an electric charging station at their disposal.
So, for 2024, the Swedish brand has focused its attention on battery range. Thanks to an update, buyers of an electric XC40 will benefit from an additional 20% range, or 409 km on a full charge cycle for the 4-wheel drive version.
The big news for 2024 is the arrival of rear-wheel drive (2WD only). This version offers a much greater range. In fact, the 2-wheel drive version (single electric motor) is claimed to have a total range of 472 KM.
Availability of the Volvo XC40 Recharge 2024
For the 2023 model year, stocks of the Volvo XC40 Recharge were low. As a result, not all demand for the compact electric SUV could be met.
For 2024, more units will be available, including Core versions.
Delivery in autumn 2023
The first deliveries of these models will take place in autumn 2023 for the Plus and Ultimate versions. Core versions may take a little longer.
