How to use the hands-free power tailgate of your Volvo

In this short instructional blog, we show you how to use the hands-free power tailgate of your Volvo.


First, you'll need to be equipped with one of your car keys and move toward the back of the vehicle.


Once that is done, make a sweeping motion with your leg under the bumper on the left side and step back a foot.


The secret to knowing where to sweep your foot all the time is to use the "V" in the "Volvo" logo as an arrow pointing down, where you should sweep your foot.


(You can also close the trunk exactly the same way you opened it, by pressing the button on the inside of the trunk, or with one of the buttons on the key or even with the button on the left side of the steering wheel).


Remember that these functions can also allow you to open the case of your Volvo.
