The Volvo S60 first appeared in Volvo dealerships in 2000, almost 20 years ago now. This Swedish sedan takes its place in the Volvo lineup by offering an alternative to its little sibling the S40.
In March 2010, this Volvo S60 was restyled by Volvo. At the Geneva International Motor Show, it was presented to the public in a more luxurious and sportier style than the previous version. It will undergo a second restyling in 2013.
This generation also had the higher, off-road escapade version, the Volvo S60 Cross Country, which has since been abandoned by Volvo.
But the version that has been a resounding success among performance enthusiasts is the Volvo S60 Polestar. Developed then in collaboration with the team of competing engineers, it offers 362 horsepower and 347 lb-ft of torque. The 0-100 km/h is swallowed in less than 5 seconds (4.7 sec).
For the 2017 and 2018 versions, the engines proposed for the Volvo S60 were the 240 horsepower T5 AWD and the 302 horsepower T6 AWD.
